Buyers are obliged and requested to read all the information on our artworks, sales and after-sales conditions among others before making a purchase. By making a payment, the buyers are deemed to have understood and agreed to these conditions. All changes to the terms of sales and services will be posted on our website, including selling prices of artworks. These changes are subject to review without notice to potential buyers.
All artworks from our studio are made for INDOOR DISPLAY purpose only. Their quality will not be affected by any means as long as the interior environment meets the normal range of habitable temperature, humidity and sunlight conditions. They are not to be displayed outdoors, or subject to the splashing of colored liquids.
Since our artworks are poured from handmade molds, each one receives its own uniqueness just like stamping from a rubber mold. This is the charm of cement-poured sculptural artwork. In contrast, it should be differentiated from 3D printed objects that emphasize uniformity and machine-made appearance.
All our artworks have received clear protective coatings to prevent staining. This finish provides resistance from splashing. Cured cement is a very hard substance that does not scratch easily. However, they should not be impacted upon especially from hard surfaces, as chipping might occur. Otherwise, there is virtually no wear and tear. All of our works should last for a long time without much attention. As such, no warranty is required and provided by this studio.
Essentially, our works require little maintenance. They can be kept in pristine conditions by dusting with soft brushes. In case of blemishes on the surface by accident, the stain might be removed or alleviated by gently rubbing with regular damp cloth immediately. However, we cannot guarantee any result that can be achieved.
1.Packing
All our artworks are securely packed in a purpose-made ‘box within a box’ system prior to shipping from our studio in Toronto, Canada. Bubble wraps, foam, cardboard corner protectors and sturdy shipping boxes are used depending on specific artworks. For certain artworks only, buyers might find handling instructions in the box. Please keep all packing boxes and materials for possible re-location of artwork in future.
2.Shipping
For artworks with stock, orders are typically shipped within 2 weeks by quality couriers of the shipping destination. In case where there is no stock, buyers will be informed by email of the time required for production, normally an addition of 2 weeks. Couriers are reminded of the careful handling of the artwork within. Tracking information will be provided. We provide a competitive and professional shipping cost based on each artwork’s dimensions, weight and relevant specifications. For ease of management of our studio, we have designated regions for shipping destinations as follows: 1. Domestic (i.e. Canada); 2. USA; 3. Europe; and 4. International (group of countries).
3.Customs and duties
Since each country has its own policy on import tax, there are huge differences among countries on the amounts and what are to be taxed. The Policies of each sovereign country might change. Therefore, one universal parameter simply doesn’t fit all and it is beyond us to keep up with changes. For these reasons, buyers need to account and pay for import taxes and/or duties of their destination country.
4.Local courier handling fee
Depending on the destination address and country, possible third party courier and additional administration may be involved. Under such circumstances, a handling fee may be added by the courier of the destination country. We do not have the overriding power to foresee or prevent such event from happening. We appreciate the buyer’s understanding should this be the situation.
5.Other arrangements
Buyers may arrange their own shipment or collection method from my Toronto studio. Kindly contact us in this situation.
Our secure checkout warrants buyers a safe purchasing experience. Every purchase made will go through the safest and most advanced online transaction platform Shopify is facilitated with. Buyers are welcome to contact us through emails if there are special concerns.
The package is well protected in two boxes with protection materials in between. Once received, check if the package is damaged. This may not result in damage to the artwork inside. Open it as soon as possible and inform the artist by email immediately if there is a real problem. Always WASH AND DRY YOUR HANDS before opening the protection package. Handle the artwork with GLOVES and use CUTTERS very carefully.
Find the artwork in the package as described on our website, i.e. its dimensions, colour(s), materials and mounting options. Since the work is handmade from every stage of its making, each piece is unique in itself. Slight variations among works of the same edition might incur and is to be expected.
An original Certificate of Authenticity containing the artist's signature, image of the artwork and edition number is included.
A Purchasing Invoice, Receipt and Delivery Notice will be found. Some artworks might contain Handling Instructions while others might not.
We strongly recommend the buyer to keep and set aside the full protection package for possible transportation and relocation in future.
1.Requests for return must be made within 14 calendar days including the day when the artwork is received. Requests must be made through our official website Contact page. We will make an official email reply to confirm if an acceptance is forthcoming. The return artwork must be received by us within 30 calendar days starting from the day we make this confirmation. Late return will not be processed and as such, refund will not be made. Please read below on when the process of return can be started.
2.The return artwork is to be shipped in its original package with all original documents and the authenticity certificate. In case the work is damaged, or parts missing without our prior knowledge from the buyer, no refund can be made. For fairness, we recommend the buyer to purchase shipping insurance with tracking service for the return. Subject to the quality of return shipment courier or other unknown reasons, we make no guarantee that we will receive the return work with certainty.
3.Same as most online shipments, buyers are responsible for all return shipping and insurance costs. We will not accept return shipping costs. No refund will be made in this situation.
4.All refunds will be in CAD or US dollars minus the Canadian sales tax, shipping costs and website hosting fee from the original purchase payment price.
5.Special collections are treated as second-hand pieces; and as such, sales are FINAL. They are not eligible for refunds under the guidelines of the European Union.
6.To return any artwork, please write to obtain our return shipment address. DO NOT return the artwork if the buyer’s request procedure is not complete and accepted by us in writing.
7.Should a buyer like to exchange for a replacement instead of return, kindly inform us of any damage as soon as receiving the artwork within the 14 calendar period stated above. Photos or videos must be included as proof of damage for the exchange. Only DAMAGE of the shipped artwork would warrant for an exchange for the SAME work of the edition. We will evaluate the issues involved and arrange for a replacement. The replacement would be shipped as soon as return artwork is received. The buyer will be refunded the return shipment cost. If there isn’t any stock, it might take as much as 30 days for production and shipping arrangements.
We accept commissions related to the built environment or other topics subject to mutual agreements. Since we focus on the artistic narratives on all projects, it is anticipated that any artwork we do may not be a true representation of the built form. All patrons and viewers are welcome to make enquiries.
